3% INCREASE IN THE SALARY OF THE STATE GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES

Ahmedabad: Gujarat's Finance Minister Nitin Patel has announced to increase the dearness allowance of 9.61 lakh government employees by 3 percent. The employees are getting 12 percent dearness allowance due to the increase in dearness allowance due to the increase in the dearness allowance of the state to the tune of Rs 1071 crore. The dearness allowance will be paid simultaneously in the July delivery.

Prior to being introduced in the general budget assembly of the Gujarat government on July 2, Finance Minister Nitin Patel announced the decision to raise the dearness allowance of 9 lakh employees to 3 percent by 15 percent. Granted school teachers are also covered in these employees.

"The state government has got approval to implement NCERT textbooks in our state board. It is not that the board will be replaced with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)," said a senior GSHSEB official.
